If thinking is the hardest work, then why are so many people engaged in overthinking ???
The quote may not go wrong because it is said by one of the greatest leaders of all time, Henry Ford.
Let’s analyse why people fall in the trap of overthinking.
Before moving towards the solution, it’s important to understand the problem carefully. Have patience and take your time to read this.You probably won’t fall in the trap of overthinking again after this.
The more you try to come out of overthinking, the more you get into it. There are many solutions regarding overthinking all across the web. But the fact is, most of them are temporary and the bug of overthinking disturbs you again when your mind becomes free. You can try all of these but still your brain doesn’t come under your control.
Distracting your mind.
Scrolling through social medias.
Keeping yourself busy.
Calming yourself, etc, etc.
So what’s the Permanent solution?
A solution that won’t let your mind to overthink any more.
You know that when you overthink, you create some negative thoughts in your mind that eats up your brain like a hungry animal. You start feeling uneasy.
Your brain goes into an automatic thought process where you don’t even need to put effort to think.
The biggest reason why this happens is because we fail to control our mind. We fail to see the reality. We fail to move our thought process towards the positive direction.
So how to stop that? How to gain control over your mind? And ultimately how to get rid of overthinking??

1. Take a deep breath and question yourself.
When you start to think about something and realize that you are overthinking, just make a pause.
Ask questions to yourself.
Whatever thoughts are going in your mind, are they not just illusions? Are they really connected to the real world? Are you making believes based on your thoughts instead of reality?
We often attach our own created thoughts to the reality and just start fearing deep inside. That limits our mind and we fail to see the things as it is.
When you get the answers to these questions, you realize that you let yourself believe in your thoughts and not on the actual circumstances.
Be very practical and try asking these questions to yourself whenever you overthink again.
You will find the way out of your thoughts…
2. Stop worrying about the past and the future.
Lot of people tend to overthink because they either live in the past or worry about the future.
If you do the same, stop doing it.
Yes, it’s not that easy but it isn’t impossible.
You grow only when you learn and that learning is very important.
Try to learn from your past and the lessons will help you grow. When you do this, it’s easy for you to forget your past and come out of it.
Whenever you overthink again, just stop for a while, take a deep breath and remind yourself that true learning comes from bad experiences.
If you are worried about your future, there is a strong possibility that your future is not planned. There is no space for overthinking if you plan your future properly.
By this I mean that your present actions, habits and routines are based on the future you have planned and when you think about it, your thoughts are not beyond your control.
People only overthink when their present actions has nothing to do with the future.
The best way to get out of it is to estimate your future as it is based on your present actions. Then plan it by making short and long term goals and immediately take actions based on your plans.
So never underestimate or overestimate your future. See it as it is and take steps to correct it.
This way you never fall again in the trap and whenever you think about your future again, you actually don’t overthink and your thoughts are under your control.
